(Tavares, Florida - August 1,
2003) Accu-Cut is now offering
a software program that allows
floor covering dealers to achieve
complete control over their inventory.
The Accu-Cut Inventory Control
Software Link, which operates
on a personal computer connected
to an Accu-Cut cutting machine,
provides a link between the Accu-Cut
machine and a company's floor
covering software program. The
link enables dealers to track
inventory as material enters and
leaves their warehouse by automatically
transferring data generated from
the cutting machine to the inventory
module of their flooring software.
The Accu-Cut Inventory Control
Software Link is currently compatible
with Roll Master, RFMS and CRW
Flooring software.
"No more cutting wrong goods,
no more cutting those extra inches
and being short three feet on
every roll, no more hand writing
a tag for the cut to go to the
customer or the installer. The
benefits go on and on," commented
Dev O'Reilly, President of Textile
Management Systems, Inc. the developer
of Roll Master.
"The Accu-Cut Inventory
Control Software Link maximizes
the capabilities of an Accu-Cut
machine further increasing the
time savings and money savings
realized by employing an Accu-Cut
machine," said Scott Brockie,
CEO of Accu-Cut.
Terry Wheat, President of RFMS,
adds, "The linkage between
RFMS and Accu-Cut removes one
of the last gaps in the order
procurement, fulfillment, staging
and installation process. Even
with integrated software controlling
the amount of product ordered
and verifying its receipt, there
was still the possibility of the
warehouse technician transposing
the amount to cut when he received
the picking ticket. If 42 feet
instead of 24 feet leave the warehouse
(or vice versa) the dealer has
a problem. This enhancement eliminates
that challenge and ensures the
proper staging and timely delivery
of the right materials to the
job site. Controlling inventory
shrinkage and maximizing installation
efficiency are the net result."
The Inventory Control Software
Link includes the following features
and benefits:
Electronically transfers
cuts to be made directly to
the Accu-Cut machine.
Cuts to be made are exported
from the inventory module of
the flooring software to the
Inventory Control Software Link
eliminating hand written cut
sheets, reducing keystroke errors
and saving time.
Barcode scan prevents
making cuts on the wrong material.
The machine operator must first
scan the roll tag prior to making
a cut. If the programmed cut
does not match the roll being
scanned an error message will
be displayed.
Prints detailed barcode
cut labels and roll labels.
The labels can be customized
to best suit each dealers individual
needs. An updated roll label
containing the current roll
balance can be printed at any
time.
Automatically updates
inventory in flooring software.
Inventory in the flooring software
is adjusted as soon as a cut
is made on the Accu-Cut machine.
Roll balances can be taken when
a roll is received and any discrepancies
in the length logged in the
Inventory Control Software Link.
Provides detailed inventory
activity reports. Numerous
reports are available showing
the cuts made to a specific
roll, during date ranges and
shortages. Customized reports
are available.
Integration with other software
programs is scheduled to occur
in the near future. The software
link can be used on most Accu-Cut
models.
Founded in 1990, Accu-Cut is
the largest supplier of floor
covering cutting equipment in
North America. Accu-Cut's corporate
