I am the owner of a floor covering dealership in three locations. We have expanded rapidly in our area, but we have had our difficulties to overcome. The biggest difficulty we’ve had was that we used to cut all of our carpeting by hand. This method leads to a lot of over cutting, which wasted a lot of our product.
After much frustration we finally solved the problem by buying a carpet cutting machine. The cutting machine works efficiently, requires less effort, and is far more accurate than manual cutting. This has lead to an increase in profit and in efficiency.
For any other floor covering dealership out there, I’d recommend doing the same if you haven’t already. If you can’t afford a new cutting machine there are plenty of good used cutting machines out there. They really are necessary in order to succeed.
