The machine allows one person to measure, cut, wrap, roll, inspect and dump pieces of artificial turf. The machine is completely portable even though it weighs about 3,100 lbs. The machine features a longer frame than the Q-9 and allows the user to handle 15 foot material that has the salvage edge on it. The machine will handle very large full rolls of turf and many different thicknesses of turf. The top speed of the machine is 129 feet per minut but the machine has 10 different speed settings. One person can cut the same amount of material as 2 people in about half the time. The machines runs off of 220 volt power as well as pneumatics and is very easy to use. The machines are very reliable, in fact we have some customers that are still using the same machine that they purchased from us over 20 years ago! The machines are very easy to work on in case there is something that needs to be repaired and many times we can walk you through minor issues over the phone. We have some customers that go for years without a single issue. If anything does go wrong repairs are very affordable. We ship all parts from here in the USA and can overnight parts if need be. A lot of our customers have us come by every 6 months to do a tune up on their machine from $415 per visit. The artificial turf business is continuing to grow at about 15 percent per year as of the time of this being written in 2015. Last year the limit to write off equipment such as this on your taxes was $500,000. Many people feel that sometime in December of 2015 the limit will be raised up to $500,000 again from the current $25,000 tax deduction as of November 2015. We shall see. The T-12 can dump the material off of either side of the machine by turning a switch. The user would simple walk around to one side of the machine and use the foot cable to tape or stretch wrap the cut and then dump the cut off. Then the user would walk around to the other side of the machine to tape or stretch wrap the balance and dump the balance off onto the floor.
